Origin: Tampico is a widely used natural fibre that is coarse and light in colour, originating in Mexico. The fibre is obtained from the spindle shaped central leaves of the Agave Lecheguilla plant. Tampico is processed by hand extraction and cleaning before being baled and packed in cartons for shipment.

Description: A coarse natural fibre that is very abrasive and used in scrubbing brushes; often mixed with Bassine to produce 'Union Mix'. Tampico is resistant to water and will not rot. Lead times are typically 4-6 weeks from order receipt to shipment time. The fibre is packed in cartons of 25kgs and the minimum order size is 500kgs.
